More than 20 Years of Aerial and Contemporary Dance

In its beginnings, more than 20 years ago, Gramo Danse presented dance works to students of all ages, and also participated in corporate events. Later, aerial work on fabrics was introduced and during the following years, Gramo Danse continued to innovate by adding other aerial elements such as lyre, trapeze, smooth rope and harnesses (vertical dance).

CÍA. Gramo Danse, was formed as a professional dance group in 2012 with the purpose of promoting contemporary dance through presentations aimed at students and the general public as well as various dance workshops. With this step, it becomes the first and only professional company in Panama specialized in the fusion of aerial and contemporary dance, promoting a unique style within the local culture.

Objectives of CÍA. Gramo Danse
- Study and create a language of own movement, based on the fusion of contemporary dance and aerial dance
- Seek excellence at a technical and artistic level
- Create a choreographic repertoire, where the members of the company can be co-creators, highlighting in some of the works our national identity
- Present aerial and contemporary dance professionally at the national level, in urban and rural populations
- Participate in national and international performing arts festivals
- Encourage choreographic creation among the members of the company
- Contribute to the professionalization of dance artists in Panama
- Actively participate in artistic collaborations multidisciplinary with local and foreign artists
- Promote the visibility of the CÍA. Gramo Danse's name nationally and internationally

MAR DEL ZVR - MYTH AND REALITY

A piece a piece of aerial and contemporary dance based on the travels of Vasco Núñez de Balboa and the sighting of the South Sea. Its scenes can be danced independently and the complete piece can be adapted to a smaller number of dancers.
